By purchasing access to the portal or using any part of The Home Chef platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them before purchasing. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the portal.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
The Home Chef portal is a practical cooking framework - a digital system designed to help home cooks plan and manage their cooking week more consistently. It includes interactive tools for weekly meal planning, pantry management, meal generation, food waste reduction, and unit conversion, alongside a cooking reference layer.
The portal is a Progressive Web App (PWA) delivered via your web browser. It can be installed to your device's home screen. It is not a native iOS or Android application and is not distributed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
The portal is a planning and organisational tool. It is not a source of professional nutritional, dietary, or medical advice. Nothing in the portal should be treated as such. You use the portal at your own discretion and we accept no liability for decisions made based on its content.
To access the portal you must create an account using a valid email address following purchase. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@thehomechef.co.uk if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we have reason to believe these terms are being breached, including but not limited to sharing access with others or using the portal for any commercial purpose not authorised by us.
All purchases are processed by Gumroad, who acts as merchant of record for all transactions. By completing a purchase you also agree to Gumroad's terms of service. We do not store or process your payment card details at any point.
Founder lifetime access is offered at a time-limited rate of £49 as a one-time payment. Founder lifetime access grants you permanent access to the portal at no further charge, including all future updates made to the portal, for as long as The Home Chef portal exists in its current or evolved form. Founder lifetime access is personal, non-transferable, and limited to a single user. It may not be shared, resold, or transferred to another person.
We reserve the right to change the pricing of the portal for new customers at any time. Existing founder lifetime access holders will not be charged again and will not be moved to a subscription model. This commitment is permanent.
If the portal transitions to a subscription-based model for new customers in the future, all founder lifetime access holders retain their existing access free of charge, permanently.
Our refund policy is governed by our Progress Guarantee, the full terms of which are published at thehomechef.co.uk/refunds. In summary: if you complete the first week of the system and cook at least one meal using it within 30 days of purchase and do not feel the difference, we will refund you in full upon request to support@thehomechef.co.uk.
Statutory cancellation rights: The portal is a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase. At checkout, you will be asked to confirm your consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that by accessing the portal immediately you waive your 14-day statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Our progress guarantee is offered in place of that statutory right.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law where those rights cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
By using the portal you agree that you will not:
Share your login credentials with any other person; attempt to copy, reproduce, redistribute, or resell any part of the portal or its content; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the portal; use the portal for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the portal or its underlying infrastructure; or use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract content from the portal.
Breach of these conditions may result in immediate termination of your access without refund.
All content within the portal - including but not limited to the tool designs, written content, frameworks, recipes, and interface - is owned by FixFlix Ltd or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the portal for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property to you.
The portal is an actively maintained and evolving product. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will endeavour to notify founder members of significant changes by email. We do not guarantee that any specific feature will remain available in perpetuity, though we are committed to the portal continuing to deliver meaningful value to founder members.
We may carry out maintenance, updates, or improvements that cause temporary unavailability. We will minimise disruption where possible but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, FixFlix Ltd will not be liable for: any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the portal; loss of data stored in your browser's local storage, which is held on your own device and outside our control; any decisions made based on content or tool outputs within the portal; or any interruption, suspension, or termination of the portal service.
Our total liability to you in connection with the portal will not exceed the amount you paid to purchase access.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
The portal and site rely on third-party services including Netlify (hosting and authentication), Gumroad (payment processing), MailerLite (email communications), and Meta (advertising tools on thehomechef.co.uk). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Our Privacy Policy, published at thehomechef.co.uk/privacy, explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data. By using the portal or the site you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. For significant changes we will notify active portal members by email. Your continued use of the portal after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may request account deletion by contacting support@thehomechef.co.uk.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the portal at any time if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have breached these terms. In the event of termination for breach, no refund will be issued. In the event we choose to discontinue the portal entirely, we will provide reasonable notice to all active members.
You may request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@thehomechef.co.uk.
